Penguin Eggs Magazine, Canada’s premiere Folk Roots and World
Music magazine considered to be the voice of Canadian folk music,
has established Ten Strings And A Goat Skin’s album AUPRÈS DU
POÊLE as the critiques choice for 2016.
40 industry jurors, representing members of the media, folk clubs and
festival artistic directors, from across Canada chose the album. “We
are truly humbled by this news and are amazed to think that we’d
receive such a fantastic acknowledgment.” says the group’s
percussionist, Caleb Gallant. On behalf of the band, he wishes to
thank all those who made the album possible including their friend
and producer Leonard Podolak, sound engineer Mark Busic, cover
artist Karen Gallant and musician friends, the Duhks and Les Poule
Au Colin, who guested on the album.
It’s been an amazing year and ride for the members Ten Strings And
A Goat Skin who continue to receive national and international
awards and accolades, notably, receiving 4 nominations for the
Canadian Folk Music Awards being held today in Toronto.
