Educational Outreach Offerings
Alash are masters of traditional Tuvan instruments as well as the ancient art of throat singing, a remarkable technique for singing multiple pitches at the same time. Believing that traditional music must constantly evolve, the musicians subtly infuse their songs with western elements, creating their own unique style that is fresh and new, yet true to their Tuvan musical heritage. Masters of their craft, Alash specializes in educational outreach & residencies as a means of help audiences connect with their music, culture and heritage.. instead of simply exoticizing it.

The Revelers
The Blackpot Festival Tour : A customizable immersive Lousiana cultural experience
After 9 years hosting the Blackpot Festival + Cook-off (Southwest Louisiana’s premier Music Festival + Cook-off) and 4 years of their own week-long Blackpot Camp, the Revelers have modeled a multi-day customizable experience that brings immersive Louisiana culture on the road with music, food, and classes in dancing, cooking, musical instrument workshops, stories, and Cajun history as only cultural ambassadors the Revelers can deliver.
With flexible programs, the basics start with the Revelers and a cajun dance instructor. From there additional well known Cajun and creole musicians or bands can be added to the line-up for a powerful bill. Add music and dance classes to the mix and you start to get a taste of why countless people have fallen in love with the unique culture of Southwest Louisiana.
The Revelers themselves are more than qualified for passing on the secrets of traditional Cajun cooking – Blake Miller is steeped in the cooking tradition with his grandma Jackie Miller (author of her own Cajun cookbook), having taught cajun cooking at Augusta Heritage Weeks for many years, and his father the creator of the wildly popular Bruneaux’s Bon Cajun Seasoning. Cooking workshops can double as prep for pre-show dinner which can be included with a concert ticket price or sold a la carte. For a more substantial cooking track The Revelers are happy to connect you with one of many chef’s the band works with, like rising-star Toby Rodriguez (featured on Anthony Bourdain’s No Revervations; Bravo’s Top Chef).
Perfect for a venue with kitchen facilities, but the possibilities are only limited to your imagination! The band will work with you on any logistics needed.
